As a part of the Introducing the Guidelines for a Palliative Approach in Residential Aged Care project, Palliative Care Australia (PCA) has developed a Self Directed Learning Package based on the Guidelines for a Palliative Approach in Residential Aged Care. The Package has been developed for aged care homes/staff in conjunction with the Introducing the Guidelines for a Palliative Approach in Residential Aged Care workshops that were held in late 2005 / early 2006. The Package contains resources that can be used by aged care staff to familiarise themselves and other staff in their aged care homes about the Guidelines and a palliative approach. Note: If you use the 2006 version of the Guidelines please ignore references to the Navigational Tool in this Package. The Navigational Tool accompanied the 2004 edition of the Guidelines and has been incorporated into the 2006 edition.
